Class leader in LP Scool. Big headache for guys especially for me. Used to report against me to teachers everyday. And i bribed her with "plastic grape fruit" gifts & some other gifts almost everyday but in vain. She even complained against me when i used Syringes to fill my schoolmates mouth with dirty dish-wash water. Now married.
Anu Soman:- Classmate & Friend. Sports Champion & Krishna of that time. Called as "Soman" in short.
Buddy in High School. In all examinations we will be in the same or nearby benches and we together has written those exams. Once i copied his full answer sheet of Hindi Language exam and scored higher marks than him. Now not in contact.
I believe my friends blindly.
I was told Soji gave Soman a Christmas greeting card during a district sports event. I, who literally forget everything and do whatever i can for my friends, forced Soman to buy a card in return. Soman who already had a bunch of girls to handle sarcastically rejected my plea. Wholeheartedly i offered my willingness to buy a card for him and promised to pass this to Soji, who stays near to my home.
A "With Love" Archies card was selected by me and gave it to Soman to sign.
(As a side note my Name is Anu & he is Anu Soman. To avoid confusion actually my high school friends started calling us Bob & Soman). But this idiotic begger had written:-

It is extremely unethical to open somebody's letter/card especially "With Love". So i carried this "With Love" card back home without even taking the card out of its pouch.
"MTB Oversize 9000" the Ducati 999 of my school days. I took my cycle and headed to Soji's house as i was unable to meet her in front of Chinchu Theatre, Chengannur. Our usual place where we stand and had a "mouthlooking" session for St.Annes Girls. :)
In front of her house Her Aunt, Grandma, and herself. They have seen me. Little worried on what am i going to do. Passed her house with a sarcastic smile.
Came back. With all the will power i had, got down from my cycle and parked it right in front of their fence.
Walked into their lawn with my heads up and said:-
Me:- "Soji, can you come here please i gotta talk to you in person."
Soji:- (wondering what this guy is upto, came to me)
Me:-"Here is a card for you. Its from Anu.I don't know much."
Took an "about turn" and walked away. Heart was beating like anything and with all the power that has left in me i took my cycle and flew from there.
The happiest person in the world. The bold guy. Guy with Backbone. Like goes self praise.
Soman was awaiting the response next day. I said i didn't waited for a response. And promised him to get the response asap.
Evening . Took my cycle for "response receiving".
Same scene, Aunt, Grandma, Soji. Passed home once and came back. Heard a Clap and a call.
"Mone onningu vanne.." (Son, please come here.)
"Hey Bob you gotta show that you got balls. Face the situation", my mind whispered.
Parked my cycle and walked into the lawn. Just like yesterday.
Me:- "Yes Aunty", my heads up.
Aunty:-"Ninakkokke nthinde keedada?, Ente kochine school il vidunnathu padikkana, allande ninne pole kaala kalichu nadakkan alla.".
(What is your problem.The reason my child is going to school is to study and not like you.)
Me:-"Aunty.....athu pinneee". (Aunty, actually..........)
Aunty:-"Onnum parayenda. Innu ninte mummy ee vazhi poyatha, ammachi paranjatha vilichu monte gunapathikaaram parayan. Njana veendannu paranje..Nannavan oru avasaram tharuva.. Meelal ente kochinte purakae nadannekkruthu.. Inna pidicho ninte card".
(Shut up. Grandma was about to tell everything to your mom today when she passed this road. It was me who stopped her. Why i should hurt her for your mistake. Don't ever try to impress my girl. take your card and get lost.)
Holy Cow!!!! I am lucky. Imagine what would have happen if my mom came to know about this. For her i am "Young Samuel", the son she got after her long prayers, from God The Almighty.
I don't remember how i ride my cylce. But i know i reached back home in seconds. And heart was beating like Ducati 999.
I was not knowing what happened. Why she scolded me. Desperately opened the card and saw:-

Godddddddddddd... Im gonna kill him. Soman..Asshole.
News spread. The whole batch in St.Annes GHS came to know about this incident.
"Anu Bob proposed Soji @ her home."
Scolded Soman for this. He replied:-
"I wanted to save my back. Sorry da Bobeeee". And gave his famous smile.

Met Soji years after in Facebook. Almost an year back. She told me:- "the way you proposed me was awesome."
WTF!!!!! Girl i never proposed you. It was Anu Soman.
She replied:- "Who is this Anu Soman?"
